during my tantra training, our teacher would assign each of us one goddess to study and embody.
she picked these from a group called the Mahavidyas (“Wisdom Goddesses”).
each of them represented a face of Shakti, the Divine Feminine.
some are light & sweet, others are dark & frightening.
in the last sacred threads i described one of them; Dhumavati, the goddess of decay and aging.
this sacred thread i want to dedicate to the goddess i was assigned
and since 2017 have grown intimate with to such an extend
i feel her in my bones.
let me introduce to you..
Lalita
She Who Plays
where do i begin?
Lalita is a goddess of delight.
sensuality,
play,
beauty.
she is the goddess of erotic innocence.
bliss and pleasure to her, aren’t distractions on the seeker’s path-
instead, they are the path.
to be in pleasure, is to enjoy cosmic creation.
to make love, is to merge in the divine union.
all goodness and enjoyment of life as a human being,
are reminders that we exist in a reality made in bliss.
Lalita, herself a creative goddess, engages in something called:
Lila
Divine Cosmic Play
in tantrik philosophy, the creation of the universe wasn’t a laborious task,
it was an expression of creative play.
the cosmos is a sacred, joyous, and evolving play, orchestrated by the goddess herself.
it wasn’t created as a necessity, but as an act of joy.
the Sri Yantra - the yantra (geometric diagram) representing to Lalita
connecting with her in tantrik ritual, i could see her;
dancing naked in cosmic space,
giggling in delight,
creating playfully,
enjoying her sensual body.
pure innocence, pure power.
her pleasure isn’t anything shameful, it’s a gift.
her body is a place of divinity, of truth.
her approach to life is a humorous one;
she knows that at the end, nothing really matters anyway.
looking back, i see that Lalita has led me to where i am now.
since i was linked to Lalita in 2017,
i’ve learned that my sexuality, desires, body & pleasure
are all things to celebrate.
to enjoy.
she showed me to stop taking myself too seriously
(it was she, who inspired some of my most popular reels like “what i thought the universe would be” and “yolo energy”.)
she taught me to play, try, fail, and laugh at myself.
in many ways she set me free.

3 ways to connect to lalita:
see & embody her. imagine a woman, dancing freely in pure delight. allow her to inspire you. put on some sensual music and dance freely!
touch yourself as her. take a childlike, innocent approach to your body. enjoy the pleasure it contains.
create. create for the hell of it. she made the whole universe from a state of play! adopt a big dose of #yolo energy and play.
a song that captures her essence:
play, darling.
remember your original state of bliss.
you are creature of eros.
a note in the cosmic melody,
to which She dances;
laughing, giggling,
spinning and spinning
arms high
eyes closed
heart open.
